Method of Application
The length of time one can stay in the United States on a student visa (F1) is between three and five years. Optional Practical Training (OPT) is a period of full-time employment following completing a Master of Science degree that can last up to 29 months. The student will be able to work without jeopardizing their study visa. However, once OPT is up, the student is eligible to apply for an H1B visa (work visa), and from there, the student can apply for a Green Card (legal permanent residency).
Additionally, professionals with 7-8 years of work experience can apply for a student visa after graduation. In the study visa category, professionals can enroll in any master's degree program, including an MBA, a Ph.D., or any other master's degree program, and then get optional practical training for up to 29 months. Additionally, Professionals are eligible for H1B visas during and after OPT and Green Cards.
